Release Cap

 

Removes the call from the count accrued against a cap object's maximum concurrent calls limit when the call ends.

 

Use this in conjunction with the Percentage Split and Group Routing action cells, which can be configured to apply call limits via cap objects on their exit routes.

An example of usage is load management on remote queues outside the storm platform where a Percentage Split action cell is used for applying call cap limits across the calls it is distributing across two end points via Outbound Call action cells. By using a Release Cap action cell after an outbound call completes, you can free up entry to the target endpoint, whilst the first call can continue to be in progress (by going into a post call questionnaire, for example).

You can also provide the limit by selecting a pre-configured cap object. Cap objects are set up by Content Guru. Consult your local support representative for advice.
